Q1: What’s so special about Viet Nam ? Why should I visit?

Many are aware that Vietnam is famous for its history - but of course Vietnam is a great deal more than that, it is a very fine destination for your holiday vacation. Beside its natural beauties and traditional festivals, Vietnam has a special cuisine which cannot be found in other places. In addition, Vietnamese lifestyle is much more relaxed in comparison to most developed countries so it would be a good option for you to take some time away from your daily stressful life. Moreover, the Vietnamese people are very friendly, generous with their hospitality, and helpful so you will never be ‘’missing home‘’ here, I assure you.

Q2: When’s the best time to come?

Vietnam has tropical climate, which means you can visit our country all the year round. However, you should avoid high season if you don’t like to be touring amongst large number of people.

Q3: What sort of travel and sightseeing plan should I have?

It depends on what you are looking for. For example, if you are a photography lover, you should have a list of scenic destinations or if you are a risk-taker then a list of adventures will suit you perfectly. Choosing a local tour guide will help you make the most of all the available opportunities and to have a stress free holiday.

Q4: So, should I hire a local tour guide? What should I look for in that person?

Yes, definitely. Your tour guide should be helpful, trustworthy, and knowledgeable about all the concepts of tourism and local lives, as well as be aware of and able to arrange for everything to meet visitors’ requirements. That’s why I started up a travel agency named ‘’Miss Holiday Saigon’’ to help travellers design the most suitable holiday according to their personalities, interests, and needs.

Nha Trang is Vietnam’s most famous seaside resort-town. It's more lively and urban in character than other beach destinations throughout the country. It's also the scuba diving center of Vietnam.

I was born in Vung Tau but lived in Nha Trang for 19 years. Every single street, shop, and dish here has always been a part of mine. I can't tell you how much I love the city, it's just indescribable feelings.

If you want to know how amazing it is, just come and spend a couple of days to unwind and recharge yourself. It would be the most memorable trip ever.

Below is my trip to Nha Trang during the Tet Holiday 2017.

Day 1: It's a sunny lovely day for city tour

We woke up about 9AM and wanted to check out the tallest rooftop bar in Nha Trang. It's called Havana Skylight.

Ticket: $2/each daytime
$6/each at night including a drink

I think it looks better at night but we were afraid of shooting in the crowd so that's why we chose to be there in the daytime. I wanted to have a whole look of the city looking down. And the view was amazing.

Btw, I didn't forget to promote my hometown a little bit with the banner.

After that we had local food called " Nem Nướng " at $2/set for lunch

Tips:  Using Rice Paper Cake ( Bánh Tráng) to wrap vegetables, meat, and pickles then eat with the mixture of special local sauce and fish sauce.

Finish with the first place and lunch, we continued to visit the oldest Temple called Ponagar.

Po Nagar is a Cham temple tower founded sometime before 781 and located in the medieval principality of Kauthara, near modern Nha Trang in Vietnam. It is dedicated to Yan Po Nagar, the goddess of the country, who came to be identified with the Hindugoddesses Bhagavati and Mahishasuramardini, and who in Vietnamese is called Thiên Y Thánh Mâu.

Ticket:  $1/each ( 8AM- 6PM)

The Cham people is good at making pottery, weaving and dancing.

Day 3: Rainy Day- City Tour

It's the last day in Nha Trang so we needed to enjoy every single moment left. Although it was raining ( not too hard but cold), we still decided to get out, take more photos and do more sightseeing.
We went to Long Son Pagoda ( Chùa Long Sơn- Chùa Phật Trắng) which is considered as the most famous pagoda in Nha Trang.

Note: _No Ticket
_The place is not opened for foreigners in some special cases.

After that, we had lunch in a vegetarian restaurant in front of the pagoda, then moved in to the center and went shopping in the night market. It's quite close to the Tet Holiday so every where in the city was selling ornaments/ trees/ flowers for decorating houses before the Lunar New Year.

Friday 20 January 2017

Vung Tau is the tourist and commercial center of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (an industrial province in Southeastern Vietnam). The whole city area lies on a peninsula which is separated from the mainland by a gulf river called Co May river.

Just about 100 kms away from Ho Chi Minh city, Vũng Tàu will be your best choice for you to hide away from daily stressful life. It is a good place for swimming, sightseeing, and seafood-enjoying.
Instead of being lazy at the weekends, why don't you pack up and discover something new in Vũng Tàu? Trust me, it would be amazing ^^. Below is my journey from Hồ Chí Minh to Vung Tau for 2 and a half days.

+Day 1: Saturday- Sunny Day on Road

After having breakfast in backpackers' area, we caught a grabcar to go directly to Vung Tau. It took us for about 2 hours and cost $50 US.

Then we rent a bike from our hotel at $10/day to get around the city.Having a very special local food for lunch. It's called " Bánh Khọt Gốc Vú Sữa".  $5 for two sets
Bánh Khọt

Tips: To feel the local way, you should wrap vegetables round the pancakes before you eat.

After that, I bought 2 boxes " Bánh Bông Lan Trứng Muối " at the opposite store at $3

Finish lunch at about 3PM and now is the time to discover Vũng Tàu by bike.

Driving around for 30 mins and we decided to stop in front of the beach, enjoyed the fresh air then got close to the water.

Being tired from a long day full of fun, we head back to our hotel for relaxing a while before having dinner. And of course a lot of seafoods for us.

Craps, Shrimps, Fish, Hotpot, Rice, Mixed-up, Squids, Octopus, etc (  whatever edible :D )
For four to five dishes, two drinks just $25 total.
Finish the first day.

+Day 2 ( Sunday) and it was RAINING..................... Yes, you heard me. Raining all day long.

Tips: always check the weather forecast twice before going anywhere.

We didn't have a better choice than staying in the hotel and shooting. Luckily, the hotel's view was amazing and it's perfect for a ton of genres. However, Im not a good model so just able to choose some from hundreds ^^''

Vũng Tàu

Being starving from taking photos, we had more seafoods for lunch ( $20 ) , more napping, and more gambling lol

Going out to get a body massage at $6/each ( need to pay more for tips at the end)  and having dinner on a street ( seafoods ) at $20 (again ^^ )

Finish the 2nd day with not much activity.

+ Day 3 ( Monday )- the last day:  The weather was better and it's the time to climb to the biggest Christ Statue there.

Christ the King, of Vũng Tàu (Vietnamese: Tượng Chúa Kitô Vua) is a statue of Jesus, standing on Mount Nho in Vũng Tàu. The Vietnam Catholic Association built the statue in 1974 and it was completed in 1993.
It is 32 metres (105 ft) high, standing on a 4 metres (13 ft) high platform, for a 36 metres (118 ft) total monument height with two outstretched arms spanning 18.3 metres (60 ft). There is a 133-step staircase inside the statue.

Tips: If you really wanna get inside the Statue, you need to follow the opening hours strictly

P/s  I reached the place twice but still couldn't get in because of the timing. Tough luck!

The place is free but you should pay some money for parking.

Time Flies! That was also the last place we could visit in Vũng Tàu. We were hurrily driving back to the hotel, re-packing and heading to the Boat Station.

The ticket is $10/person and it takes 1.5 hours to Ho Chi Minh city ( not bad if you are not seasick )

Done with the short trip in Vũng Tàu.

Hope you guys enjoy more there.
